Born into a poor but loving family in Portugal in teh early seventies, Anika was a passionate and lively young girl. The events of her life - joy, hardship, love and disappointment - would shape her and teach her to appreciate life itself and the complexities of the people we share it with. Her private life, for all its ups and downs, would teach her that even the most difficult of situations can bring people together. And so it was for Anika and her teenage sweetheart Tony, who spent so many of their married years rediscovering the adoration and bliss they had once felt for each other.
